We had the 7th best defensive record and best disciplinary record in the league last season.
We spend circa £10 million on a defender and concede 4 at home to Bournemouth.
They're not bad defenders; its inept management.
Bilic has never done well at any club in his club career so far, no reason to expect him to do well now.
But for the West Ham connection of one season before fucking off to Everton we would never have hired him.

I have to agree, I don't give a crap how new the manager is, that was unacceptable and truely awful.
The team looked like that didn't want to play for him, and very worryingly had no idea how they were meant to play as a team.
That is probably the worse I've seen us play in years (and yes I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years! ) - ever worse than when we beat Hull.
The last two games have been serious relegation form, early days but address it now, he has to change the style (at home) now.
I also hear from a good source that Tompkins has put in a transfer request. All sounds like a happy camp.....

Bilic hasn't actually done well at all yet. Poor Euro campaign and only a lucky win against Arsenal.
Some of the interviews seem pretty lacklustre too.

I usually don't get involved in here on match day but how can you defend bringing on Tompkins and leaving jenks out there.
He was clearly blowing and the winger beat him everytime.
He offered nothing on the wing going forward and our attacks broke down on that side without the width.
So yes you can't blam Bilic for the players performance but you can blame him for not replacing him.
Further more he takes sakho off when 3-2 down. No excuse the subs were pathetic today.

I haven't said Bilic out or anything.
I merely stated the fact that Bilic's club career to date has been closer to failure than success.
He has never succeeded managing a football club.
We hired him because he played for West Ham and we ran out of options.

I can't blame Billic for today. Cresswell and Jenkinson gifted them all 4 goals.
We scored 3 otherwise. The only thing he could have done is sub the pair of them but due to our shocking lack of squad depth we had no full backs on the bench
